RV glass and windshield replacement is much more intricate than regular cars, trucks and automobiles. Don’t call the $99 glass company to see if you can get the cheapest deal on RV windshield installation. At the very least a leaky RV windshield is a pain in the butt when you are in the middle of no where, and could cause serious injury or worse.

Many glass companies say they will install rv glass but really are quite clueless on how to go about the job. Some rv windshields
are huge one piece units that are extremely heavy and the risk for a glass shop to install those is high. If the windshield is broken during installation they can’t just run to the local glass house to get another one. Just about every rv windshield is shipped from out of state to Colorado.

If your installer breaks the window during the process and you are looking to hit the road the next day with your motor-home it flat out isn’t going to happen. Usually it takes a week or so from the time the glass is ordered before it arrives to the Colorado rv glass installer.

One of the other ways you can keep your glass repair down is to use your insurance company and ask them who they recommend. Yes having to pay a $500 deductible can damage your budget a bit, but many of these rv windows can cost $1000 or more if you have to pay fully out of pocket.

What if you have a broken side window on your motorhome? Well if you call the right company they can custom cut glass right on location. Of course if the window is tempered glass the glass will have to go through the tempering process and that can take a few days or longer.

Are Buy One Get One Free Windshield Deals any Good?

You’ve seen those buy one get one free deals all over the internet. But is the BOGO windshield worth getting or not?

Typically what you are doing is paying for two windshields up front and you can’t use them on the same visit. If companies actually let you take advantage of true market pricing on a Denver windshield, then they would be going out of business in a hurry. Buy one get one free deals on windshields in Denver is not like a BOGO on ice cream at the local grocers.

When you get one of these deals you will have to jump through hoops in order to get the buy one get one windshield buy. We’ve seen restrictions where you have to wait 6 months in order to take advanatage of the special deal. Very rarely will you be able to have two cars side by side getting their windshield replaced to get the deal.

So if you see one of those “special” deals you should ask questions. Like

Can you get two windshields installed at the same time on different cars?
What are the restrictions for the bogo windshield program.
How long has the company been in business. If you have a 6 month or longer restriction make sure they” be around when you need the freebie.
If you get the bogo right away ask what kind of glass will be installed. (this has been discussed in a previous post.)

There have been a number of phone calls from people who are actually looking to replace and repair their broken or damaged windshield. They wanted to know if I could help them or if the blog was set up for informational purposes only.

Of course I can help you if you’re needing auto glass services. Based on the feedback that I’ve received I need to make this a lot more simplified for people to actually buy a windshield. So yes by all means call me if you need a new windshield.

I did set this site up for people to get more information on the auto glass industry but based on the response of people they just want to get a quote and buy a windshield.
